Pascha, the Resurrection of Christ, is the heart of the Orthodox faith and of the whole liturgical year. Having trampled down death by death, Christ opens to us the Kingdom. Every other feast flows from this one; the greeting rings out: 'Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!' Orthodox Pascha follows the Julian calendar and usually falls one to five weeks after Western Easter.
