St. Francis de Sales
St. Francis de Sales, Bishop, Doctor of the Church
Francis de Sales (1567–1622) won back thousands to the faith through kindness rather than argument, serving as Bishop of Geneva amid the Reformation. His Introduction to the Devout Life taught that holiness is for everyone, not just monks. He is the patron of writers, journalists, and teachers.
