St. Thérèse of Lisieux, Virgin, Doctor of the Church
Thérèse Martin (1873–1897) entered the Carmel of Lisieux at fifteen and died of tuberculosis at twenty-four, leaving a spiritual autobiography that would make her a Doctor of the Church. Her "little way" of doing small things with great love has made her one of the most beloved saints of modern times. She is the patron of missionaries and florists — the "Little Flower."
