St. Jude Thaddeus, Apostle
Jude, called Thaddeus, was an apostle and relative of Jesus who asked at the Last Supper why Jesus would show himself to the disciples and not to the world. Because his name recalled Judas Iscariot, few prayed to him — so his intercession became famous for the most desperate cases. He is the patron of hopeless and desperate situations.
